Honestly guys, I was not planning on this project at all. It was a spur of the moment idea! My neighbor had her birthday this weekend, and I was invited to her party. So a gift was a must on my mind!
I was thinking something along the lines of what would a girl and a woman have in common? A purse! So that's when a clutch came to mind. The night before, I rocked my Cloe clutch for a girls night out with my cousins and sisters. And it was light pink, faux leather, and made me feel so beautiful. So The Pink Vegan Clutch was born.

So I pulled out some extra fabric I still have left over (I know, still). Cut it into a rectangle, added muslin fabric, a pocket on the inside, and a zipper. Than added a Broccoliandcrystals label somewhere in the process. I snapped some photos along the way so you all can see how I did it.
The next day I awoke and finished the zipper (one side of the zipper kept hanging out when I zipped it, so I hand stitched it to stay in place inside the purse. It was fun sewing it, and making a special gift for a friend. I hope she'll be thrilled! She was telling me about her mermaid tail that her mom had ordered her, so she seems like the fashionista type.
I also took several photos of what could fit into the bag, to show you it's proportions. It's a pretty cute purse for a night out on the town. I forgot to add a credit card to these photos, but you get the idea.
I had a mini photo shoot that morning, because, who knows, I could make more clutches! So I did.

Here's some more detailed shots of the stitching and, the zipper.
I had some vegan fur (faux fur) left over too. So I made clutches from them the next day. I thought, who wouldn't love a fuzzy cozy bag? And on that next day went, same as before. By 3 pm I had finished most of them. I'm trying to decide if I want to add zippers or other enclosures to these.
What do you guys think? I was thinking magnets? Or no enclosure just the clutch over, or a button? Or a zipper.
