This photo shoot has a great story. I had my brother Alex take me to the photo shoot with all the dresses and a clothing rack. He helped me unload and get the things to my sister's. Yulia Aiden was the photographer for this shoot. Than I fumbled nervously in front of the models to get the clothing rack together, and get the dresses on there. I was so grateful that the models helped me unwrap the dresses from the DIY garment bags (I cut some holes in a large black trash bags!).
Yulia and I did an exchange of services. In exchange for this shoot and another video she recorded for me, I'm making her a custom dress! And the next time I had an event, I took up her offer to take me home.
I love how the models Rebecca and Ashley were using these yogi hands in some of the photos. It really gave the photos a special Broccoliandcrystals look.
Once we started hair and make up, things started picking up! Ramisa Azam and, Meldyn Spendlove were the make up artists. I was the hair artist. Mel asked me why I was also a hair artist, all I could think of was how much I love styling hair!
We arrived at the shoot at 8 am, so by about 10 am we had the models ready. Than one by one, we shot the dresses from my Spring/Summer 2015 Collection (Vegan Tulip Flower Petal Dresses). It was a total of 7 dresses. My inspiration came from the flower petals of tulip flowers. If you notice, the hems of the dresses look like flower petals!
I used the book "The Plant Lover's guide to Tulips" when I was sketching these designs. I was also inspired by flower faeries in general.

The shoot was great. The models Ashley Chanel and, Rebecca Ann really made it successful. They took direction well on the shoot (I'm notorious for directing models for the winning photo). Ramisa and Meldyn were awesome and, Yulia was a great photographer. It was a team effort and I'm glad it all came together.
Of course editing the photos was a treat. It took a while for me to edit all the photos, but hew, it's done. I tried to see it as an opportunity to brush up my photo editing skills.
Thanks for reading! Be sure to check back later this week for more posts!
